  • Here is Scott’s update on his “Lasagna Gardening”. 
    “Everything is still pretty small, but the mizuna is doing the best.  Two varieties of carrots are barely coming along and the beets are ok.   Lettuce is working but I don’t know what happened to the spinach.  It looks as though I picked up some tomato seeds and possibly cantaloupe from the compost.  Although I think I put nasturtium where the suspect cantaloupe is.  Time will tell in this “box of chocolates” garden.

     

    On another note:  I have ordered my trees from the Phoenix Permaculture Society.  Two apple varieties, Cara Cara Navel Orange . Eureka lemon, peach, vietnamese white mango and some red flame grapes.  These will be picked up in early January, but it will probably be three years before I get any fruit.  Go see Greg Peterson at his “urban farm” to check out edible landscaping.”
